Cucusoft iPad Video Converter is a video converter for the iPad. It is a very simple video converter that allows you to convert your video files of different formats into MPEG-4 and H.264 files that play natively on the iPad and other Apple devices. The application has an original interface that displays a small picture of an iPad and on its screen you will see a preview of the video that is being converted. The GUI doesn't look awesome, but it is at least original. As I said, the application supports H.264 and MPEG-4 as output files and it seems to have good support for input files. I tested it with MKV, AVI and MP4 files and they all worked. The only conversion problem that I experienced with this tool is aspect ratio and resolution. I understand that the app has to somehow convert the resolution for it to fit on the iPad's screen, but the way it does it, the image gets distorted. I would like to have, at least, the ability to add black bars on top and on the bottom of the video to conserve aspect ratio.
All in all, this converter works well, despite the little problem I mentioned with some files. The trial lets you test the app thoroughly.
